I'mĀ mission is to spread the beauty and tradition of Norwegian knitting while connecting people worldwide.
In Anne's Norwegian knitting we like to think of ourselves as a unique knitting business. When I decided to focus entirely on the English-speaking market, I aimed to create something different from the traditional knitting pattern business. After some soul-searching and challenges from those guiding me, I realized I wanted to break away from the conventional pattern sales model where you buy a pattern and then you're gone.
I envisioned creating a space where my designs are central, supported by our five pillars:
- Knitting
- Norwegian history and culture
- Sustainability
- Mental health
- Community
This vision has shaped Anne's Norwegian Knitting into a safe place where you can learn Norwegian colorwork through courses, memberships, events, and programs.

Our Approach to Patterns
We know our approach to patterns is different. Instead of selling standalone patterns, we focus on memberships and comprehensive learning experiences. We understand that memberships aren't for everyone, so we're testing a new project this year: offering some of our monthly membership patterns as standalone products at the same price as the monthly membership fee. You can find these available patterns under the "Patterns" menu.
Team Anne
Until recently, Anne's Norwegian Knitting was a one-woman show. I handled everything from designing patterns to creating tax reports and web pages. Now, we're growing. Today, our small team includes:
