Who AM I?
Hello, I'm Anne, a Norwegian who loves knitting and lives just outside Oslo, Norway. I was born with a pair of knitting needles in my hands (and, as the myth says for all Norwegians, with skis on my feet).
My passion is to support you on your journey to become a Norwegian knitter. Our Nook community will inspire you to pick up those needles, and enrich your knitting experience.Â

What is happening in the Nook this year?
Quarterly themes
1st quarter we are dedicating to knitting to kids and babies, yoke classes â and embroidery on knits. Â
2nd quarter has short sleeved Ts and other fun spring and summery focus
3rd quarter is all about the Hemsedal Sweater adaption class on the sweater and Wool Month â our yearly celebration of Norwegian wool
And, 4th quarter we are inviting to pre holiday knit along, finishing classes and lots of holiday knits as we always do at the end of the year

In the Nook we have monthly meet-ups where we focus on whatever is going on right now in the Nook and in general chat about knitting.Â

This my first attempt to join an online knitting group. I'm excited to see people from around the world that love knitting as I do . I've always been worried that my bold bright projects are a bit odd, I love colours and have had some really nasty results and some happy accidents. I believe j have tools now to help plan my successes in the future. I'm especially appreciative that we are all being encouraged to move outside our comfort zones, and experiment with what brings us ,our own joy.

Anneâs knitting universe is the best knitting community Iâve joined and been a part of since 2020. The people come together so well because of Anneâs passion for making her patterns accessible to all people who are at all levels of knitting. She guides us step by step and is always willing to teach us how to not only achieve knitting her beautiful patterns but to truly enjoy the entire process. My absolute favourite pattern is the Eternity Shawl (but I truly love all of her designs as I own them allđĽ°). She is the only designer I know who writes her patterns in a ÂŤÂ checklist  fashion which is so much easier to follow than most other patterns. Also, Anne creates tutorial videos from how to hold the yarn all the way to steeking videos and everything in between ensuring that everyone can clearly understand the process of every pattern she publishes. What I love most is how Anne encourages all of us to knit at our own pace, to enjoy the process and how she makes herself available to help everyone in the community with our meetings. Thank you dearest Anne for everything you do for us âĽď¸âĽď¸âĽď¸âĽď¸
